Newsletter #11: We’ve been busy
New tools, new sites, new team members and more
🛠️ New tools: Relume and Notion
The great joy of no-code is the tools just keep getting better. We’ve just started using Relume Library, a component library for Webflow. We loved Webflow before, but Relume takes it to a whole new level. Also, we’ve switched to Notion for project management. We are late to the party on Notion, but wow!
🍞 Fresh off the production line
Things we’ve been making:
Life Cycle - coming soon! Our first major site using Relume. Includes some sweet animations. Can’t wait to share this beauty.
Money Talk Team - website and chatbot. We are getting excited about the potential for chatbots as a way of reducing barriers to engagement.
Events calendar for Citizens Advice Scotland - uses Notion to communicate upcoming events. With no-code, finding the right tool unlocks big wins.
RISE - an online space for Hestia, inspired by the recovery college model. Read about our process with RISE.
⛵ Notes from the boats
We had our second annual boat party. Yes, boating is our thing! Take a look at some pics.
👏 Digital Leaders award for AI
We were fairly happy to receive the Runners Up award at Digital Leaders Award for our AI work on the Citizens Advice Scotland national helpline.
Steve Rowan, trustee at CAS, said: 'This technology is a significant game changer in bridging the gap between national coverage and local delivery. By smart use of AI, we have effectively decentralised a call centre model, which is beyond the capability of other providers.'
🧳 SIDE away week - website building competition
Next week we decamp to the Dorset countryside for a website building competition. We’ll compete to see which team can best ‘accelerate adoption of Webflow for social impact’. Keep your eyes peeled on @sidelabs_ for updates.
💛 Welcome, Thomas and Niki
Two new Social Impact Digital Explorers have joined. Thomas is working with us remotely from sunny Spain and lives semi off-grid. Niki is a Norfolk gal and loves to tinker with wood work (and service design, of course!).
